We were going to this Car show, because my brothers were bringing their Ford Model A's. It was at the Elks Lodge #1419  on 1150 W 4th St #1704, Ontario, CA 91762.

PART 2 of 2 ROUTE 66 CRUISIN REUNION SEPT. 22 2018

Welcome back... Saturday, day two of this years eighth annual Route 66 Cruisin Reunion car show event. This year they cut it back to two days, instead of three like last year. I am lucky to live so close to this event and instead of driving to it, I got a nice walk in. Yesterday, I took pictures from I Street down to D Street and took over 100 pictures and a few videos, but Saturday was the big event. Most of the people with their cars showed up, so I started on G Street and walked down to B Street as this is where the cars ended. I then walked up Euclid.
On part one of this blog, I had included a video of a car that was on the California's Gold series with Huell Howser. I also noticed that the woman who owned the car had pictures with Jay Leno. She said the car had been in her family since it was brand new. Her parents bought it,and then they later gave the car to her, and when she is ready she will give it to her son. the blue Amphicar.

As I said in part one of this 2 part blog, people had brought their cars from as close as the next city over, to as far away as Australia.   Please remember to make the pictures larger, just click on them.

This 1957 T-bird belongs to my brother and sister-in-law. I could have sworn they said it was for sale. If you are interested, Please leave a comment at the bottom of this blog and I will get the information to them.

The owner of this cool Chevrolet Woody, told me it took him 2 years to restore the car. Check out that shine on the wood.

Looks like this 1936 Chevrolet had a frame up restoration.

cobra anyone?

Here was a nice blue Cheverolet Chevelle

I liked the Indian head hood emblem

6 pack?

Wilson!

look at the wild paint job on this 1972 AMC Javlin

Speaking of wild colors, check out the newest color Pepto Bismol, I saw this on a car yesterday as well.

1936 Packard

Yes even a NASCAR car was there.

As I was walking north on Euclid , I came upon a odd looking car. At first I thought, okay who took a 4 door 70's car and turned it into a hotrod? Well I was wrong, this is a 1971 Ford Falcon GT HO Phase III Made in Australia. It was the fastest 4 door in the world. You might have seen a car like this, from a movie called Running on Empty. I asked the owner, Anthony, if the gas pedal and brakes, are setup different than a American car. He said no but he said it is a lot faster to shift on the left side. If you are looking for a custom car to be done check him out. He told me he has owned a Ford Torino GT Mad Max Car, once, now he just got another to build. I hope he brings it to a future Route 66 Car show.

I hope you enjoyed my trip into the past this weekend at this year's Route 66 Cruisin Reunion 2018.
The pictures below are of my view as I wrapped up my day. I want to thank everyone who came out, and allowed me to take pictures of their rides.
I would like to add, the live music continued into the night with these bands: Hotel California-The Original Eagles Tribute. and Voyage-Journey Tribute Band. Both bands played at the Ontario Town Square.
