SATURDAY MORNING DAY TWO AT THIS YEARS ROUTE 66 CRUISIN REUNION IN ONTARIO, CALIF.

It was another great summer morning, The weather felt more like a crisp fall evening. This beautiful 1957 two door Chevrolet Bel Air wagon was the 1st car to welcome me to historic Euclid Ave in Ontario, California.
But what was going on? why such awesome cars were parked or cruising up and down the street? It was the second day of the 5th Annual Route 66 Cruisin Reunion.  If you have been to car shows , but not this one. it is one of the better shows to see. Outside of going to Hot August Nights in Reno Nevada. I have taken pictures of the past three Rt. 66 car shows here in Ontario, But this time I wanted to feature the un-restored, Non Rat rods or Muscle cars. But to try to find those Vintage /Antique cars, that either have had a older restoration or just as they looked on  new on the show room floor.
Don't worry, I still took pictures of the Muscle Cars, Trucks, Low Riders and totally different vehicles. I wanted to return later to see the 1970's band Blood Sweat and Tears with Bo Bice. But I never made it back. I live close to where the even was taking place and our streets filled quickly with people parking and walking to the concert.

I met a lot of friendly Man Cave/Women Cave Car people. they were glad to see that I was taking pictures of their automobiles. And they couldn't wait to see the blog. http://etickettotomorrowland.blogspot.com  you can use this link if you want, I will post the link to here from the Disney blog as well.
okay the wait is over, time to post those Caddy's, Chevy's, Fords, Studebakers, Pontiacs, VW's, and Many more wonderful cars.
Remember to see a larger picture of the cars, just click on the pictures.
I have also posted a few cars and trucks that were for sale.

This Buick Wildcat reminded me of my first car, I owned a 1968 Buick GS 400.

There was a General Lee #01 was there I believe our old neighbor from Upland had his Chevy truck there. And taking pictures was a challenge as there were cars Cruising up and down Euclid at all times.

Time to show what is purring under those hoods.  I love those 1960's Blue colors.

Nice Chevelle, The 1932 Chevy reminded me of the five window coupe my dad bought for my brothers to restore. The owner of the Corvette, told me the paint job cost over 5 grand. You could see your face in the finish, when you looked into it.

This odd looking car was a 1926 LaSalle , when I 1st saw it, I thought oh look a Munster's Mobile.

The 1938 Chevy was a really classy looking car, We once had a 1936 4 Dr. Straight Eight Oldsmobile that looked like this car. The owner was really friendly, we chatted for a little while about the Classic 1920's and 30's body styles. There aren't that many of these oldies still in original condition. Most of them have been Rat Rodded out.
Don't get me wrong, when you spruce up the old cars, they will keep rolling down the road. But My favorite type of car is either the Disney 1963 Herbie VW or a 1908 Mercer Runabout. Sorry to say, I did not see either of those cars here at the cruise.

Here was a nice looking 1953? or 54? 2 dr. Chevy for sale.

The two black cars belonged to Bill and his son, The 4 dr. sedan is a 1939 Buick and the 2 dr. is a Ford Model T. I have seen Bill and his cars at the past 3 shows. he was nice , offered me a water as we listened to Lester Flats on the Banjo. I'm Sure you have heard of him, if you had ever watched The Beverly Hillbillies. Earl Scruggs and Lester Flats play the Ballad of  Jed Clampett.
If you look across the street in the picture just above, You can see my younger brother Jeremy and my Sister in Law with my niece.

There is a nice 1948 Pontiac Convertible.

This Buick Roadmaster had a cool color. So That is it For Saturday. Stay tuned for more pictures on the Sunday cruise. I will be posting that blog tomorrow.
Thanks for looking, and hope to see you next year.
